In my freshman year of college, I proudly declared
my major as journalism and then marched down the path of what I believed
would be my one and
only true career. By my sophomore year, I had switched majors to
mathematics and computer science. Why? Because I fell into the trap
that so many
of us do. Fear of the unknown forced me to take the “safe route”.
I opted for financial security and future growth potential over creativity
and fulfillment.
For twenty years I committed myself to an environment and career to which
I was not properly suited. Although successful and admired by my peers,
I still felt unfulfilled as if something was missing. The stress associated
with the ever-changing workplace (i.e. office politics, outsourcing,
layoffs, etc.) contributed to a long line of health problems which finally
led to my departure from corporate America. Now, after years of self-imposed
imprisonment, I am living a life of freedom, purpose and fulfillment
and am ready to help you do the same.
