I know there are many coaching organizations, we have the ICF which is devoted to "preserve the integrity of coaching around the globe." Now we have the IAC, whose mission is "to further the interests of coaching clients worldwide."

These are both great organizations and their purpose is to "certify" coaches and promote coaching worldwide. The problem is, how do Life Coaches here in the USA find clients?

I am sure you have seen the headlines " Coaches are struggling", the truth is, coaches are not receiving enough media coverage and the maze to find a Life Coach is frightening. Do a google search for Life Coaches and you will find over 1,700,000 sites that match the request.

I am concerned with so many coaches offering ways to build your practice, from mentor coaching ( which should be included with your coach training) to tapes and teleclasses. I think we just need to get the word out to the general public. We need to network and work together, if we don't watch out for each other, then who will watch out for us.

I realize other coaches with good intentions have tried to form coach referral sites charging $49 to $99 a year, some even for a lifetime, but most have not resulted in attracting new clients.

I realize most coaching is offered over the telephone so location is not a factor, but what i found living in Georgia is most clients do not grasp that concept and still look geographically for a coach. US Life Coach is designed to promote coaches by state.

So again, we are not trying to sell you anything, just promote life coaching. We do require that you place a reciprocal link on the bottom of your home page of your web site. You can use either of the text logos at the bottom of the page.

You might be asking why i would go through all this trouble and not charge anything, the answer is simple.

1) I am currently working with one of the three major radio networks to take my radio show nationwide. I will promote Life Coaching and I need a support team to help make that happen, and hopefully this will be the support team i need. I interview coaches on my show as well as answer questions about life coaching and how it works.

2) I am putting together a website for the US Small Business Association and plan to include Life Coaching in the new site.

3) I am very concerned by the difficulty new coaches are having getting the word out about their practice. We are inviting all coaches to submit articles which we will use both on line and in print. You will receive full credit and a link to your site in the article.
